Andrew’s Anecdote
My wife and I went camping in Northumberland last weekend to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful trip, full of good food, warm fires, and a bracing, fresh sea breeze.
It made me reflect on how fortunate Sheffield — The Outdoor City — is to be so close to the Peak District. In recent years, the city has leaned into its outdoor nature, welcoming walkers, climbers, campers, cyclists. You name it.
I certainly spend as much time outdoors as I possibly can — and I think it’s a passion I share with many other Sheffielders. As we build The Sheffield Drop community together, I’d love to hear about your relationship with The Outdoor City.
